Monitoring of ballot counting process- recording and monitoring cameras to be placed in every desk

The Regulatory Commission approved the use of recording cameras and monitors for the display of ballot papers in the Ballot Counting Centers in mayoral by elections of March 6, 2022.

High-resolution recording cameras and monitors (screens) that display of ballot papers before they are further evaluated in BCC, are installed on the counting table in such a way as to enable the recording of each ballot paper. The video recording is broadcast live in monitors placed in front of the electoral subjects, is stored on electronic media and is delivered in the CEC at the end of counting process along with the rest of election materials. In order to monitor the ballot counting process in each BCC, the CEC will install a parallel monitoring system in the CEC premises, watching through the monitors the BCCs in real time.

This process is now a consolidated practice of the institution, based on the principle of security and transparency of the elections process.
