CSC imposes administrative sanctions on persons responsible for reporting public activities

The Complaints and Sanctions Commission reviewed today the appeal request no. 53, with the appellant Freedom Party (PL) with object 1) Objection to the decision of the State Election Commissioner with no. 404, dated 24.04.2023 “The Appointment of Political Parties that will propose the Third and Fourth Member of the Ballot Counting Teams, for the elections for local government bodies, dated May 14, 2023”; 2) Changing the Decision, appointing the Freedom Party as the political party that has the right to propose the fourth member of the Ballot Counting Teams, for the elections for local government bodies, dated May 14, 2023″.

At the end of the review, the appeal request no. 53, was turned down due to the lack of the majority of votes for decision-making.

CSC reviewed request no. 15, of the State Commissioner of Elections with the object “Request for imposing administrative sanction”.

At the end of the review, the request of the SEC was partially accepted. CSC decided:

Annulment of the request for imposing an administrative sanction against the Mayor of Prrenjas, due to the lack of the required number of votes for decision-making.

Acceptance of the request for imposing administrative sanctions with a fine in the amount of 5,000 ALL for the person responsible for reporting public activities in Dibër Municipality, fine in the amount of 5,000 ALL for the person responsible for reporting public activities in Librazhd Municipality and fine in the amount of 5,000 ALL for the person responsible for reporting public activities in Lushnja Municipality.

It was also reviewed, request no. 16 of the State Commissioner of Elections with the object “Request for imposing administrative sanction”.

At the end of the review, the CSC decided to partially accept the request and impose administrative sanctions, with a fine of 5,000 ALL for the person responsible for reporting public activities in the Korça District Prefecture, a fine of 7,000 lek for the person responsible for reporting public activities in the municipality of Belsh, a fine of 10,000 lek for the person responsible for reporting public activities for the municipality of Gjirokastër, a fine of 5,000 ALL for the person responsible for reporting public activities for the municipality of Kavaja.

Today, request no. 17, of the State Commissioner of Elections with the object “Request for imposing administrative sanction”.

CSC decided to turn down the request no. 17 of the SEC, as it is confirmed to be a political activity organized by a political party and not by Korça Municipality.
